Isaac Ieremia found his passion for storytelling at a young age. After graduating high school in 2022, Ieremia decided to try his luck finding work on set in the NZ film industry, as opposed to following the life long plan of going to film school. The odd featured extra role here and there on various projects meant he was lucky enough to get a small amount of exposure to professional film sets. Screenwriting since he was sixteen, in 2023 Isaac wrote the first and final draft of his directorial debut film "Ciggie". After his mothers recommendation, he then decided to enrol himself in a 12 week filmmaking course with the Māoriland Film Festival. During this, he received hands on experience and learning from industry professionals with varying backgrounds in film. After a very long post production, Isaac and the team behind "Ciggie" finished his debut film in late 2025 and are planning to submit to festivals throughout the year of 2026.
