Diego A. Garcia is an American filmmaker, director, producer, and cinematographer. After getting his start in television production with KUSI News and FOX 5 San Diego, Garcia transitioned into independent filmmaking, developing a vibrant style influenced by his Mexican-American culture, Southern California upbringing, and interest in deeply human stories. He was nominated for Best Local Filmmaker in 2024 for Dreamscape, one of his early narrative films. Garcia's work spans narrative film and documentary, often exploring culture, identity, memory, grief, and community through expressive visual storytelling. He is currently studying film production at San Diego State University while developing his next projects through DGSTUDIOS PRODUCTIONS.
