Ichael Cenabre is a Boholano director and cinematographer whose films draw from the memories, landscapes, and humor of Bohol and the Visayas. He has directed several short films that have received recognition at regional and national film festivals. His short film Mo Kanta Kay Way Laing No Choice received the Special Jury Prize at the 2025 DILAAB Film Festival. His 2025 short film Usa Ka Libo sa Tulo ka Mag-Amigo earned him Best Director at SineBohol 2025, with its cast receiving Outstanding Acting Performance for Ensemble, and was later selected for the 15th Binisaya Film Festival. Alongside directing, Cenabre works as a cinematographer. He served as Director of Photography for Johannes Tejero’s Daog, Pildi, an official short-film entry at the 2025 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival. He also shot Stephen Kelly Mahusay’s Dangpanan (2025), for which he received Best Cinematography at the 21st Piling Obrang Vidyo. Dangpanan later won Best Short at the 15th Binisaya Film Festival.
