Masha Vlasova
"I am an experimental and documentary filmmaker. I was born in Russia and immigrated to the U.S. as a pre-teen. I received a BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art, and an MFA from Yale School of Art. I have exhibited and screened my films at Smack Mellon, Anthology Archives, Abrons Arts Center, the Border Project Gallery in New York City, Vox Populi in Philadelphia, and Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University. I have been a recipient of an Alice Kimball Fellowship, a JUNCTURE Art and Human Rights Fellowship, a Research Fellowship at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University, and a Fulbright Fellowship in Filmmaking. I teach production and studio art courses as Assistant Professor at Wofford College in South Carolina. " –M.V.
