Valnice Yek
Valnice Yek was born and raised in Singapore. With a burning passion for the performing arts, she has been performing ever since Primary school where she took part in Chinese dance and Chinese speech and drama before deciding to further develop herself as an artist in School of The Arts Singapore (SOTA). There, she immersed herself in the world of theater and gained years of experience in her art form.
Apart from that, she has developed a sense of appreciation for other forms of Art. She believes that art is the physical expression of one’s internal landscape and that being an artist is more than just an occupation. Valnice’s interest in cultures has allowed her to pay closer attention to the everyday life of people and this helped her greatly in theater.
In 2017, Valnice joined Basic Models Management and started modelling. The same year, she emerged as the winner for NIVEA Girl Search and became their brand ambassador.
In 2018, Valnice flew to Hong Kong to be trained for cinematic kung-fu with martial arts trainer and choreographer, Chris Collins. She landed her first lead role on Toggle drama “Close Your Eyes”, produced by Zheng Geping.
In 2019, Valnice was confirmed for TV adaption of Dick Lee’s musical “Fried Rice Paradise”, where she played the role of Campari.
