Grieving the loss of his parents and navigating adolescence, Niño becomes drawn to Lilibeth, 19, the pasayaw’s elected president, who is struggling with the pressures surrounding the festivities. As gender, generational, and class divides emerge, the two form an unlikely partnership in search of belonging, growth, and acceptance.
