Super Vito
Pietro is eight years old and in pain: his father, locked up under the 41-bis regime, for him is not a criminal but Super Vito, a superhero who fights the bad guys from the "secret lair" of the prison. Between supervised conversations and stories invented by his mother to protect him, Pietro builds a world in which his father is an avenger, not a prisoner. When Vito decides to collaborate with justice and become a repentant, Pietro's imaginary universe collapses. The child's life is put in danger by the clan's retaliation, but just then Vito makes his last gesture of love: sacrificing himself to save his son. In Pietro's gaze, that sacrifice does not erase the hero, but makes him real, forever transforming his image of "Super Vito" into that of a father capable of choosing good.
